The Friends of the Dorval Library Annual Book Sale

The Friends of the Dorval Library held a sale of used books and audiovisual material from April 13 to 17, to benefit activities and services at the Dorval Library.

This activity demands a great deal of work on the part of our membership, but our volunteers never let us down. Their hard work and enthusiasm result in a successful event each year. This year, we sold a total of 4,288 items! Congratulations on a job well-done.

We would also like to extend our thanks to all of our customers, who enjoy the "win/win" nature of our sale - help support the Dorval Library and get a great book for $2 or less. Everyone leaves feeling great!

Missed it? Don't worry, we'll be back next year with more great deals. Hope to see you there.

                            DORVAL CELEBRATES 2016

Despite a rainy beginning to the day, more than 50 people took the time (and effort) to identify their favourite book and/or author at our kiosk as part of Dorval Celebrates on August 14.

Those who participated in this activity had a chance (2 chances if they were members of the Friends of the Dorval Library) to win a $50 gift certificate to use at a local bookstore.

One lucky winner was James Lawlor, who wisely doubled his chances to win by becoming a member that day. Sean Watson won the second gift certificate. Congratulations James and Sean!
